Question 1. Does Bodum Coffee Grinder disassemble?
Answer: according to some customers, they are having problems getting the exact grind size after reassembling the Bodum bistro grinder. When you take the burr out, does that white plastic collar come off and does not fit back correctly? If this is the issue, try to match that plastic collar that has tabs on it and fits the burrs tightly so that it can grind rightly. If you still have problems getting the right grind size, it is better to replace the burrs.

Question 2. How to fix the issue about not grinding well in this Bodum burr grinder?
Answer: Did it grind well and now getting a problem? Maybe it is a cleaning issue. Be sure that you clean it thoroughly with a stiff toothbrush. The vacuum cleaner also does the best work while cleaning a coffee grinder. It is unwise if you used water and soap for cleaning. It will damage your grinder. Besides, if you are used to grinding oily beans, it may clog the grinder as oily beans do not go with the mill so well. Sometimes the wheel cannot work in any case, something you grind with coffee beans, and it clogs the wheel to run. So no way except changing the wheel.
Question 3. Find it difficult to clean thoroughly?
Answer: Many recommend grinding raw rice. Use it in the finest setting. We think it does not need to be cleaned all the time with uncooked rice, but once in a month for thorough cleaning and after every use, just a stiff toothbrush and a vacuum cleaner are good enough.

Answer: In this case, it is better to contact your suppliers, and they will find the reason. Maybe the start button gets spoiled, and the new button should be replaced. You may not see the same one, but another will go perfect if you do not think of a mess about turning on and off the wall socket. But this type of troubleshooting creates after a long time.
Question 6. Does Bodum Bistro have settings for the number of cups?
Answer: Bodum bistro coffee grinder does not grind by cups. Fortunately, it has time (seconds) settings and grind settings so that you can set the desired setting and select timing according to your liking. Initially, you may be confused about how long do I need to grind, but after a little try, you will find this most comfortable. Suppose, 16 oz mug of coffee, 13 seconds grind good enough.
Question 7. Using the filter for direct grinding will be wise for this machine?
Answer: This machine is perfect for glass recipients and grinds directly into that glass catcher. But if you do need to use direct grinding into the filter, as some buyers assured that it also worked fine to them, holding the paper filter lightly and just giving some pressure on the back of the filter. Pressurized Portafilter can be used for espresso brew. Also, let us know how this works for you.
Question 8. What is the best setting for espresso, Chemex, Aeropress? Is espresso grind good enough?
Answer: In case of espresso ( we always recommend espresso grinder) grind, one step less from the finest setting would be great, be sure coffee beans are fresh before the grind. For Chemex, it works perfectly with the medium or medium-coarse setting. And for Aeropress, a medium-fine setting maybe would go well.
Thank you for these videos, they are very helpful. I have a question that was not asked here. I have 2 of these grinders and one of them doesn’t seem to be “dropping” or grinding enough beans. While on the 10 sec. mode, It should produce (I measured with the good one) about 1/4 cup of grinds. But the one not functioning correctly, only seems to grind about 1/8th of a cup, or less while on the 10 sec mode. Is there something I can do to fix this, or do you think the machine is broken? I have done the cleaning with the rice and all other things seem to be fine. Just don’t want to discard if there is something I could do, or a replacement part I could buy?. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Huhu. Well, the most important troubleshoot I‘d like to learn is how to open the machine and check if the motor is working properly. My machine makes a strange noisy sound and is not grinding anymore xD pissing me off not being able to repair …
Hi! One question not answered here: One day, the problem started and I hear the sound of motor but the burr is not rolling. What would be the recommended solution? Thanks!
